What We Offer

Residential Care Services at Libertas Children’s Home

At Libertas Children’s Home, we provide tailored, high-quality residential care for vulnerable children and young people aged 7 to 17 years, delivering safety, stability, and therapeutic support through a nurturing, homely environment. Our residential services are designed to support children with complex emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health needs by providing a structured yet flexible approach to care, education, and wellbeing.

Our Placement Options

We offer a range of care placements that reflect the varied and often urgent needs of the children we support:

  • Emergency Placements – Immediate accommodation for children requiring urgent intervention and a safe, stabilising environment.
  • Short-Term Placements – For young people who need care during transitional periods or pending long-term decisions.
  • Medium-Term Placements – Structured placements supporting sustained development and progress.
  • Solo Placements – Bespoke one-to-one placements for children who need a higher level of supervision, therapeutic support, or who may benefit from a quieter, more individualised setting before transitioning to group living or returning to family or community-based environments.

Our Mission at Libertas

At Libertas, we are committed to empowering each child to overcome adversity, develop practical life skills, and build emotional resilience. Our therapeutic and holistic approach supports young people in managing their social and emotional difficulties while preparing them for future independence.

We recognise that every child is unique, and therefore, all care packages are personalised, ensuring each child receives the targeted support they need to thrive emotionally, academically, and socially.

Education Provision

We strongly believe that access to the right education is essential to long-term success. All children placed at Libertas Children’s Home are enrolled in tailored educational programmes, either:

  • Through our partnerships with specialist schools or colleges, or
  • Via alternative education providers, offering flexible curriculums matched to individual learning levels, emotional needs, and cognitive capabilities.

Our goal is to reignite a love of learning and facilitate re-engagement with education as a vital part of each young person’s development.
