At Libertas Children’s Home, we deliver a comprehensive range of services tailored to support young people with complex needs in a safe, structured, and emotionally responsive environment:
Solo and Shared Residential Placements
- Bespoke placements for children and young people aged 7–17.
- Options include both solo occupancy and carefully matched shared placements.
- Designed for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs.
Specialist Support for High-Risk and Vulnerable Young People
- We support young people impacted by gang affiliation, criminal or sexual exploitation (CCE/CSE), trauma, abuse, or neglect.
- Our trauma-informed staff are trained to provide high levels of supervision, de-escalation, and emotional regulation.
24/7 Care with Enhanced Staffing Ratios
- We offer 2:1 or 3:1 care ratio when needed to ensure continuous, high-quality support.
- All staff receive robust induction training, and ongoing CPD in safeguarding, behaviour support, mental health, and therapeutic care.
Education and Engagement Services
- Collaboration with Virtual School Officers and local education providers to ensure access to education.
- In-house support for online learning, home tuition, and reintegration into mainstream or specialist schools.
Life Skills & Independence Development
- Programmes to build essential skills for transition into adulthood.
- Focus on personal hygiene, budgeting, cooking, time management, and social interaction.
Therapeutic Key Work and Emotional Support
- Regular key work sessions addressing behavioural patterns, emotional resilience, and social development.
- Access to psychological services and specialist therapeutic input as required.
Crisis Intervention and Emergency Placements
- Ability to accommodate short-notice referrals where the young person’s safety or placement stability is at risk.
- High support packages with comprehensive risk assessments implemented from day one.
RESIDENTIAL CARE
Our dedicated, experienced and qualified team provides daily support, therapeutic care, direct work sessions and work tirelessly to provide the highest level of care possible to our young people.
SUPPORTED LIVING
We provide supported living placements for young people aged 16 and over. Our main aim is to provide safe and high quality accommodation in which our young people can develop and enhance their independent skills.
ASSESSMENT THERAPY
We also work together with a team of therapists and counsellors to enable us to form an understanding of the internal world of our young people using state of mind assessments.
FAMILY ASSESSMENT
We support families in their homes who are facing complex issues and life challenges such as drugs and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, learning disabilities, teen pregnancy or children who are at risk of entering the care system.
RESPITE CARE
Respite care is also provided to young people needing some intensive support during crisis to avoid a breakdown in their current placement. We also provides pre-planned short term placements for children and young people.
CRISIS INTERVENTION
The Crisis Intervention programme aims to provide children with exceptional outcomes during their stay in our outdoor environment. It will enable young people to engage in modern society in a mindful and self-aware manner
